CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The next edition of the Aotearoa Affair Blog Carnival is themed “VIEW FROM HERE” and will include stories, poetry, blog posts and other reflections on regional identity/relations/associations. Send us something that tells a little more about the specifics of where you live, where you come from, or where you currently find yourself located.
Contact us through September 15: nzgermany2012 [at]gmail[dot]com
**We will follow the August/September issue with one more edition of the Blog Carnival, in October/November, with special reports from Frankfurt and elsewhere reflecting on the Frankfurt Bookfair. If you are going to the fair or if you live in Germany, if you have something to say about it from wherever you are, please get in touch nzgermany2012 [at]gmail[dot]com
We are seeking Guest Editors for upcoming editions of the Aotearoa Affair Blog Festival. Please email us and let us know if you are interested.
Authors Translating Authors
This host language of this website is English, but we are keen to see works in translation and are looking for bilingual authors submitting their work in two or more languages (English, German or Maori). This is a site that encourages collaboration — we’ll be on the lookout for translations and translators.
The editors will solicit works for the Weekly Highlight series but also accept email submissions. No theme for this series, just random wonderful pieces from our contributors. If you have something you’d like to see included in our weekly highlights (from poetry to flash fiction to memoir to travel writing), send it to us in email. We are happy to share new works as well as previously published works (with attribution of course).
Our e-mail is: nzgermany2012 [AT] gmail [DOT] com
We look forward to meeting you!
— FAQ —
Weekly Highlight + Blog Carnival: Does it have to be new work, or could I send something that is previously published, or from the archive?
For both, we are happy to share new works as well as previously published works (with attribution of course).
Is there an Australian version of you?
Not, but there is an international blog carnival that is open to all nationalities: the “Language / Place blog carnival“.
